General Electric Fan Lamp
This is a vintage General Electric fan that I have repurposed into a functional light fixture. I've removed the fan blades and in their place have built a custom solid brass cluster of 4 standard size sockets paired with 30 watt edison light bulbs. These old fans make beautifully functional lamps, because the open cages protect the bulbs, but also allow the light to shine both forwards and back, illuminating the room. I've wired it with a 6' long black and tan houndstooth pattern cloth covered twisted wire cord and a black antique reproduction plug. I've replaced the old switch with a new on/off toggle switch.
This lamp is 21" tall and 12" deep and the cage measures 18" in diameter. The base is about 8" in diameter.
